This work is a continuation of my critical investigation I completed prior, which was an insight into what extent reality TV encourages consumerism. Here I intend to create my own article for Heat magazine, along with a front cover, to illustrate that reality TV is largely responsible for today's consumer culture.

Final double spread
Again I am very pleased with the final version of my double page spread. I have spent a lot of time perfecting little details so it looks almost identical to Heat's house style. This included making sure the first letter of the story was a white 'P' in a red textbox, getting the size of the footer right, and using the right fonts and colours for different elements. In comparison to a copy of Heat magazine, the fonts I have used are very convincing.
Final front cover
Here you can see I successfully followed my layout diagrams of how to organise my front cover, as well as my double page spread. I am very pleased with my linked production pieces because I have spent a lot of time and attention critically comparing mine to an authentic copy of Heat to ensure every little detail is as true to the real thing as I can possibly make it. Such adjustments that arose from this process included changing the size and spacing of the headlines, adding highlights to a few of the different story's' headlines, and adding shading to the main story's headline.
